It had been presented to the king in Council by Richard Warjen and by a certificate that ‘he not only faithfully served his late majestie But also was in the 3 last engagements against the Dutch and is now by reason of his wounds reduced to poverty’. Being commended by the Council, the court ordered him an annual pension of 40 shillings, 20 shillings p. a. from the present sessions and 20 shillings to be paid in course.
