Notes

Richard Lees was a gunner in Colchester siege in his late Majesty’s service, where he received a shot, to the loss of his limbs, and was lately redeemed out of captivity from the Turks. It is ordered that he be paid a gratuity of 40 s. The court thinks him a fit object to be relieved by the town of Aldeburgh, and his case is referred to the justices of the peace of that town.
