f.65: Ordered by the Earl of Essex that 40 s. be paid to Richard Hart, soldier of Captain Mills' company in Lord Roberts' regiment, who had his arm shot off at the siege of Reading. He has remained in the surgeon's hands ever since, and is incapable of further service and in great want. Richard Hart acknowledges receipt of £2 on 3 April 1645.
