          In consideration of 'the sufferings & great necessities' he had endured, he received an annual pension of 50 s. per annum as a maimed soldier, in quarterly payments of 12 s. 6 d. This payment was for one quarter, due at Midsummer 1672, after which he died and his pension was transferred to his widow, Susanna Gouge.
