[f.66r] ‘Whereas Richard Gortly of Staverton hath a pencion of forty shillings per annum as a maimed Souldier and being now growne more infirme by reason of his wounds and distempers received in his Majesties service It is ordered that Twenty Shillings per annum bee added to his said former pencion and the Treasurer for the maimed Souldiers of this County is ordered to pay vnto the said Richard Gorthley from henceforth in all three pounds per annum by quarterly payments till further Order.’
