Whereas Richard Coppin, late of Bury St Edmunds in this county, a person to whom this court has heretofore granted a yearly pension for his better livelihood, which said Richard Coppin keeping of an alehouse in the said town of Bury and brewing his beer, did run into arrears to his Majesty for excise of beer the sum of £3 9 s. 9 d., as appears to this court upon oath. This court does thereupon order the treasurer of maimed soldiers within this division to pay unto Mr William Howkins, agent to his Majesty’s Commissioners for Excise, the said 3 li. 4 s. 9 d., and to defalk the same out of the said Richard’s pension.
