"Whereas it appeareth … that Richard Clarke of Oreston was a souldier under the command of Captain Richard Burthogg in the fort of Plymouth & continued in the service of the State a long tyme wherein he received a hurt in his body which remayneth still upon him and thereby is disinabled to get his livelihood. It is therefore ordered that the Treasurer doe pay … four pounds yearly from Midsomer last untill further order herein."
