Fol. 42: At the Quarter Sessions held on 27 April 1674, Ralph Carter of St Clement Danes was admitted as a maimed soldier to a pension of 40 s. per annum. Now, upon strict inquiry made upon the behalf of the court, it was apparent that this pension was too small in respect of his wounds and his age, he being 56 years old. It was therefore ordered that 30 s. be added to his pension to make a total pension of £3 10 s. per annum.
