"Whereas it appeareth … that Richard Clacey late of Clehidon was an Ensigne & in actuall service under the command of Collonell John Were … wherein he demeaned himself faithfull & valiant who received many wounds of which he lost his life & left his wife & children in a sad & miserable condicion. It is therefore ordered that the Treasurer for maymed souldiers doe forthwith pay unto the Relict of the said Richard Clacey three pounds for her present maintenance."
