Upon debate this day had concerning the settling of an infant child of one Francis Beckett, born in the borough of Stafford, where the said Beckett was formerly a soldier; now forasmuch as it is this day proved he last dwelt and was settled in Forebridge in the parish of Castlechurch, and that by law no person can be sent to the place of his birth but a vagrant, nor any person under the age of seven years reputed to be a vagrant, and the said infant being within that age, it is therefore ordered that the opinion and resolution of the reverend judges shall be prayed at the next Assizes, and then the court will give such further order as the cause shall require; and in the meantime the said infant to remain at Forebridge aforesaid.
