Notes

The Treasurer for the western part of the county was ordered to pay to Robert Gray of Abbotsbury the sum of twenty shillings, which was by the Treasurer deposited in the hands of Colonel Giles Strangways for Gray's use. However, Strangways informed the court that Gray had gone to Ireland (where he had formerly lived) to reside. It was therefore ordered by this court that Strangways pay the twenty shillings to Nicholas Burd of Abbotsbury, who had 'served a souldeir for his majestie in the late warres and never deserted that service'.
