f. 14r: On the petition of Thomas Weedon, yeoman of Little Hadham, it is ordered that the overseers for the poor there shall allow him out of the poor rate the sum of 34 s. for one year's rent of a tenement in Little Hadham demised by him to one Issack Savill, who is in the Parliament's service as a soldier, and whose wife and three children are now a charge to the said parish. And it is further ordered that the parish shall take care that they do not rate Thomas Weedon above his due portion for the poor rate compared with other parishioners. And the overseers are further ordered in future either to pay Thomas Weedon the rent of the said tenement, or else out of hand to provide a habitation elsewhere for the said Savill's wife and the three children.
