Settlement dispute between the parishes of Yatton and Weston. Davis was born in Yatton 'and since lived with one Mr Percivall att Weston as a covenaunt servant for the space of Three yeares and afterwards became a souldier in the late King’s Army duringe which tyme hee became maymed and then retourned to Yatton and there remayned for the space of Tenn weekes and upwards in the condition of a Sojourner'. The Court ordered that unless the parish could prove that Davis's stay at Yatton had been interrupted within six weeks of the last time he came there, Davis was to remain in Yatton and be provided for by the parish.
