Upon the petition of Mathew Drake of Hartshead showing that he was a soldier under the command of Sir Francis Armitage Bt and was very badly wounded (including losing two fingers and stripped and exposed to much hardship), it was ordered that he be entered in the pension roll in the room of Anthony Hepworth, deceased, and that Hepworth’s last quarter’s pay be given to Drake as a gratuity.
