Unfoliated: 'It is ordered by this Court that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poore wthin the pish of Middleton shall forthwth upon notice hereof make pvision for the manteynance & sustenatacon of Mary a little bastard Child of James Smith of Answorth begotten upon the body of Eliz Haslome (the father beeng gone into Scotland & the mother of it now sent unto the house of Correccon) in some good & Competent manner for & untill further order bee taken for the manteynance by this Court or otherwise upon Complt made to any Justice of peace wthin this County a warrant shall bee awarded agt them to take them bound to answer there contempts at the next Sessions here to bee holden & then to bee further pceeded agt according to lawe.'
