fol. 18: It was ordered that Mary Rabbles, the widow of Henry Rabbles who took up arms at Rochester and died in Parliament’s service, be paid a gratuity of 50 s. for the relief of herself and her six children. It was further ordered that the overseers of the poor for Rochester provide for her, the city having refused to contribute towards the county stock for maimed soldiers.
