Notes

Fol. 24: Richard Lewis, late of the parish of Feltham in Middlesex, was pressed to serve the Commonwealth in the wars in Ireland. He was slain in the said service, leaving a wife and two small children very poor and altogether unable to maintain themselves. A pension of £4 p.a. was therefore awarded to the widow, Mary Lewis, as long as she remained a widow or the children were unable to provide for themselves.
