Notes

The pension of Houghton's husband William, a maimed soldier who 'died since last Easter, leaving Mary his wife with four small children destitute of maintenance', was ordered to be continued and paid to Houghton for one year. It was also ordered that for their further maintenance 'the churchwardens and overseers of Brixworth are hereby required to allow her the weekly sum of twelve pence until they show cause to the contrary to this court'.
