Fol. 40v: Thomas Ansell, late of the parish of St Andrew’s within the City, late husband of Margery Ansell, was slain in Parliament’s service at Hereford whilst under the command of Colonel Birch. It was ordered that the churchwardens and overseers of the poor for the parish pay unto Margerie and her child the sum of 12 d. weekly until the next Quarter Sessions, when the court would make further orders for their relief.
