Reported that at the Warwickshire Assizes 'in the tenth year of the late King's reign', Thomas Millard was executed as a cutpurse. At this time, he had a 'young suckling Childe', Joseph Hopkins, in the gaol. Th child was committed to the care of Frances Hopkins, widow, who was paid £3 6 s. 8 d. a year until the child was grown up. Hopkins was now an adult and has been in the service of parliament in the wars in Ireland (confirmed by Colonel Hewson). He was now in Warwick borough, and 'very sicke & not able to gett his liveinge'.
