Notes

Fol. 34: Jonathan Moores ‘a poor souldier’ showed by his petition that he had been in royalist service as a Trooper under the Lord Shandois for three year until he was taken prisoner, in which service he had ‘receaved many wounds’ and was thereby disabled from maintaining his wife and family. He was therefore admitted as a pensioner from the last General Quarter Sessions.
