Notes

The gratuity was made for Todd's present relief, and the pension was to follow per annum thereafter. No details of service, but the context of the Quarter Sessions order (and payment by the Treasurer for Maimed Soldiers) indicates an old soldier. [A Captain John Todd of Lincolnshire appears in column 95 of the 1663 List, as captain of dragoons under the command of Colonel John Millward.]
