f. 114r: It is ordered that Mr Cotton, one of the Treasurers of this county, shall out of hand pay to John Staple, a soldier maimed in the service of the Parliament and Captain Wingate, the sum of 10 s. for the said Staples' present relief, no pensioner's place being at present void to be conferred on him.
