Whereas John Johnson borne at Louth in Lincolnshire hath served as a souldjer as the Court is informed under Coronell Legard & after under Coro: Alured and behaved himself valyantly in diverse battles and at the siege at Pontefract was shott by a peece of ordinance w[hi]ch tooke away his right arme; and haveing peti[ti]oned this Court for some releife for himself his wife & childe; this Court was pleased to supply his necessities for the present and upon his peticon the Court is pleased willing doth desire to recommend his low condicon unto the Justices in Lincolneshire; not doubting but care will be taken him for him that he may have an yearly pencon there allowed for his good service done for the state.
