‘Forasmuch as it appeare unto this Court that John Heaman sonne of John Heaman late of Heringfleete in the County of Suff[olk] beinge about the age of Twelve years hath of late wand[e]red Up & downe & begged for his living beinge turned out by his frends & havinge no parents to p[ro]vide for him his mother beinge dead & father in the army & lately cominge to this Citty & ther found begging. It is therefore ordered that the said John Leaman the sonne shal be punished & forthwith sent from Constable to Constable to Herringfleet aforesaid wher he was borne (as is confessed by the said John & otherwise affirmed by this Court) ther to abide & to be p[ro]vided for accordinge to Lawe. And the Churchwardens and ov[er]seers of the said Towne are hereby inioyned to receive him & provide for him accordingly.’
