"Whereas it appeareth … that John Harris of Plymouth was wounded in the service of the comon wealth at Mount Stampford by a great bullet which struck him almost blind & hath beene for diverse yeares last past altogeather blind whereby he is disenabled to follow his calling, It is therefore ordered that the Treasurer … doe from henceforth pay unto the said Harris forty shillings yearly untill farther order whereof he is to have 10 s. in hand."
