He is to satisfy the JPs at the next sessions in which particular parish he took up arms [A1/110/1653Hilary/168 George Ivy reports that the inhabitants of Charlton were suspicious of him advising that ‘You may be more cautious how you give him any further allowance until he makes good proof he took up arms’.]
