‘Whereas it appeareth vnto this Courte that John Fitz of Ottery St Mary was formerly allowed a pencion of Forty shillings per annum as a maymed souldier but for his non appearance before the Justices who were desired to inspect the mayhems of the maymed souldiers of that division had his pencion discontinued It is ordered that the Treasurer for the maymed souldiers of this County doe pay vnto the said John Fitz the one moyety of the arreares of his said former pencion from the time of his said discontinuance in full sattisfaccion vntill this Sessions and alsoe from henceforth the summe of Forty shillings per annum by quarterly payments till further order.’
