‘This Court being certainly informed that Henry Parward the keep[er] of the Brid[e]well howse in Swaffham is lately dead doe order that John Belt of Swaffham aforesaid be keep[er] of the said Brid[e]well howse in the place of the said Henry Parward soe long as he the said John Belt doe well & honestly p[er]forme the same office, upon this special Condicon & soe longe alsoe as hee the said John Belt shall ev[er]y Lady Day repaire to some publique place of divine worship to heare some honest able & godly Minister & noe longer And it is further ordered that Nicholas Parward sonn of the said Henry Parward deceased doe forthwith deliv[er] up into the custody of the said John Belt All the prisoners which are now in the said Bridewell.’
