"Whereas it appeareth … that [blank] Ellery of Hemiock was hanged by the late kings partie for his faithfull service to the Common wealth who left Joane his wife with small children in great need & want haveing no mainetenance for their subsistence, It is therefore ordered that the Treasurer for the maymed souldiers doe forthwith pay unto her forty shillings towards her present maintenance."
