‘It is ordered that the Treasurer for maymed souldiers doe pay unto Jeremy Clarke, a maymed souldier (who hath a pencion of foure pounds yearely in respect of his present necessity) to travel to the Bath for cure the summe of eight pounds for his sayd pencion for two yeares, to be from Easter sessions last until & at Easter sessions which shal be in the yeare of our Lord 1657 inclusively’.
