Walters's pension had previously been granted to Walter Spede of Sherborne, lately deceased: 'upon sufficient certificate unto this court that Jasper Walters of Sherborne hath lost his limbs & is disabled in his body in the service of the late King Charles the first, This court having duely considered his present necessity doe … graunt unto him the said Jasper Walters a pencion of forty shillings per annum out of the said pencion of tenn pounds to be paid him quarterly'.
