Leech had previously had a pension of £3 per annum 'in regard of wounds long since received beyond the seas, which Pension this Court houlds fitt not to continue (in regard the said Leech liveth at Westm[inste]r and is conceived to be of competent ability, at least not in that Condicon of pr[e]ssing want, as too many Mayhemed souldiers in this County are)'. The pension was therefore discharged and transferred to Robert Guy and Anne Parker (see above). However, he was awarded a gratuity in respect of his 'long Journey taken in poursuance of this business'. See also Sussex Quarter Sessions, Arundel, 11 to 12 January 1647.
