Served Parliament in England and Ireland 'until he became unserviceable by reason of many dangerous wounds received upon sev[er]all p[ar]tes of his body & thereby alsoe made incapable to follow his calling, or to p[ro]vide a livelihood for himself his wife & Children'. He had petitioned the previous quarter sessions for £10 and it was agreed at this meeting to give him the sum, on condition that he give 'a good & sufficient discharge & security not to be further Chargeable thereunto.’
