On reading the petition of James Brand of Walton, setting forth his faithful service to King Charles the First and King Charles the Second of blessed memory as a soldier, both by sea and land, and of his great age and mean condition, this court was pleased to add the further sum of 40 s. a year to his former pension, and order the treasurer for maimed soldiers of this division to him £4 a year, to be paid quarterly until this court order the contrary.
