Upon the petition of James Bancks of Rawcliffe setting forth that he was a soldier under his late Majesty at Aires mouth fort where he had received several wounds so that he was not able to labour for his living, the truth of which was certified by Sir John Boynton kt, it was ordered that Bancks be admitted to the first vacancy in Osgoldcrosse ‘& if there bee any overplus of moneys to have soe much out of it as the penc[i]on will amount to’.
