fol. 54: The court was very well satisfied that Jacob Chaulbe, now an inhabitant of the liberty of Norton Folgate, served as a captain of horse under the command of Colonel Sir Oratio Carey and had now become very poor and indigent in respect of having been very much wounded and now being 68 years old. He was altogether incapacitated to pay any rates or taxes and so was hereby discharged from paying the same.
