Notes

Fol. 27: It appeared to the court that Hugh Haines of Clerkenwell was admitted to a maimed soldier’s pension of 40 s. per annum some years ago but since that time had departed from Clerkenwell and lived in Yorkshire for several years. By reason of residing so far from London, he had not been able to attend the Treasurer to collect his pension and so he now petitioned for his arrears. The court considered his case very reasonable and so ordered the Treasurers for Maimed Soldiers to peruse their books and ascertain how much pension was due to him and pay the same without delay.
