‘The Treasurer for the maymed souldiers of this County is hereby ordered to pay vnto Hugh Browne of Cullompton a souldier maymed in the service of our late Soueraigne Lord Kinge Charles the first the summe of Forty shillings per annum by quarterly payments till further order for his more comfortable susbistance and the officers of the said parish are to give him such further releife as his necessities require.’
