Fol. 29: It appeared to the Court that by a certificate under the hand of Thomas, Lord Fairfax that Henry Ward of the parish of Ealing, labourer, was a waggoner in the army under his command and had his arm broken in the said service. Ward was now no longer able to work as formerly but as he had ‘honestly and faithfully discharged his place’, Fairfax was ‘pleased to Recommend his Condicion to ye Consideracion of ye Justices of ye peace of thi County for some pencion’. Awarded 40 s. per annum.
