‘Upon the Petic[i]on of Henry Eston late of Maidsmorton in this County shewing that Maidsmorton was the place of his Birth And that he had in the late Civil Warrs served King Charles the first & bene instrumentall in the Restorac[i]on of King Charles the second & afterwards was disbanded And hath since had no settled place of residence & now is of great age & unable to worke & Reduced to great Poverty & distress. This Co[u]rt being satisfied of the truth of the suggestions in his said Petic[i]on do think fitt to grant him an yearly penc[i]on of fourty shillings to be from henceforth paid him out of the county stock for his n[atur]all life.’ Eston’s petition was to be filed with the records of this Sessions.
