"Whereas it appeareth … that Henry Browne of Plymouth was a souldier in the service of the common wealth at the reliefe of Taunton [and] hath received very dangerous wounds which be incureable whereby he is become unable to provide a livelihood for himselfe & family, It is therefore ordered that the Treasurer … doe forthwith pay … 20 s. for his present maintenance and to be further considered when he shall procure a Certificate."
