Notes

The court being this day moved by the humble petition of Henrie Collyer, late saltpetreman in the town of Stafford when the same town was kept as a garrison for the Parliament, since which time he is become lame, and had one leg cut off; and therefore prays for a pension in this county. Now for that it is confessed that the said Henrie Collyer was settled at Allestree in the county of Derby before he came to work in this county, and has lived there for the space of six years last past, it is ordered by the court that the treasurers for the maimed soldiers for this county do deliver to the said Henrie Collyer five shillings, to defray his charges in travelling back to Allestree in the county of Derby, where he ought to be relieved, according to the ordinance and late act of Parliament in that case made and provided.
