Notes

Upon the petition of George Sides of Collingtree, labourer, showing that he having had a pension of three pounds per annum formerly allowed him for his faithful service done to his late Majesty in the late wars, the same had been reduced to thirty shillings per annum; and he being aged and infirm, unable to get his living, was reduced to great necessity and want. It was now (upon the request of the High Sheriff of the county, and a certificate of several of the inhabitants of the said town) ordered that forty shillings (over and besides his said pension of thirty shillings) be paid to him by the Treasurer of the East Division of this county, for his present [?relief] and maintenance.
