Unfoliated: 'Forasmuch as George Seddon of Wavertree a very old man as it plainely appeares unto this Cort hath beene a soldier in the warrs in Ireland in ye time of ye late queene Elizabeth and now in the begining of these last warrs where hee served under Coll Willoby for seaven yeares & upwards and was sore wounded and maymed & returneing about three weeks before Michas last into Childwall pishe wherein hee inhabited before that hee went last into the service for this Commn wealth and now having not any meanes left for his subsistence yt is thought fitt & soe ordered that the Churchwardens & ovseers of the poore wthin the said pishe of Childwall shall make pvision in some competent manner for the releeffe & mainteynance of the said Seddon untill the next Assyses to bee holden for this County and that Roger Hardicke of Coppull gentleman appointed Treshirer for maymed soldiers shall allow to the said Georg Seddon the exhibiton [illegible] of liiis iiid as the other maymed soldiers wthin this County being admitted one of the penconers of maymed soldiers wthin this division the place beeing vacant & this order is to bee inforced at the next Assyses by the Justice of peace.'
