Fol. 39: Upon the petition of George Russell and a certificate under the hand of the Duke of Ormond ‘& other very hono[ura]ble p[er]sons’, it was ordered that Russell be given a gratuity of 20 s. for his present relief and that his case be referred to the next General Sessions held after the following Michaelmas for consideration of a yearly pension. Russell had been maimed in his Majesty’s service and was not able to get his living by his labour as formerly he had done.
