Notes

It appeared to the court that Elizabeth Emerson was the widow of William Emerson, who had formerly lived in the parish of St Andrew Holborn and had served in his late Majesty’s wars. It also appeared that Elizabeth was aged and poor. It was therefore ordered that she have a pension of 40 shillings a year.
