‘Upon the peticon of Elizabeth Downe the relict of Thomas Downe late of the said city deceased setting forth her distressed condition & now preferred to this court. And this court also receiving satisfaccon that Thomas Downe aforenamed was wounded in the Fryars Orchard in the Parliament service in the tyme [fo. 110v] of the late beseidging of this City’ doth order that the treasurers pay 4s to Elizabeth on 25 March, and ‘soe fower shillings quarterly till further order’. In the meantime she is to receive 12d for her present relief.
