"Whereas this court is credibly informed that Edward Colscott of Barnstable is lately deceased who was a maymed souldier & had a pencion of 40 s. yearly paid him, And that his wife is a very poore woman & hath three small children & noe way able to relieve them, It is therefore ordered that the Treasurer for maymed souldiers doe forthwith pay unto Elizabeth wife of the said Edward Colscott the summe of twenty shillings & she to trouble this court noe more."
