‘Forasmuch as Mrs Elizabeth Bruges the widd[ow] & Relict of Richard Bruges, gent., dec[ease]d hath by her Petic[i]on now exhi[bi]ted shewed that by reason of her said husbands long and lingering sicknes[s] whereof he dyed and by the charge of his funerall shee is much involved in debt and unable to pay or discharge the same And prayed some allowance out of the County stock. This Court being satisfied that her said husband had greatly impaired his Estate in the service of the late King Charles the first and for adhearing to him doth com[m]isserate her Condic[i]on.’ The Treasurer was ordered to pay Mrs Bruges 50 s.
